In Memory of our Beloved Uncle Mamush

It is with great heartbreak that we announce the tragic passing of our beloved uncle Mamush, who lost his battle against COVID-19 on May 1, 2021, after a 3-week stay alone in the ICU. Mamush was a loving husband, uncle, brother, friend, and mentor to many. Our hearts are grieving because of his passing and even more so because of the horribly sad and isolating manner in which COVID -19 took Mamush’s life.

Mamush was someone you couldn’t describe but just had to experience. But for those of you who now will never get the blessing to experience his energy, optimism and unmatched sense of humour, we will do our best to describe a bit of who this incredible man was and the unforgettable impact he has left on us all. 

Mamush’s early life in Ethiopia was not an easy one. His youth was disturbed by war and political unrest, so he traveled by foot for decades through different borders seeking refuge for a safer life and eventually arriving in Canada. Despite his hardships, Mamush's spirits were always high, he was always kind and patient and strived to uplift others through sharing the Godly teachings of Lord Jesus Christ. 

Anyone who has met Mamush has experienced his child-like purity, gentle heart, faith in God, and his care for the vulnerable such as the elderly and children. This was reflected by his work in the Ottawa school system to ensure the safety of children, and his decade-long role in assisting as a gentle caretaker for our grandma with Alzheimer's. 

He showed his community his love through his avid prayers and uplifting Biblical messages, which he shared daily through his social media. 

We are all extremely heartbroken by his tragic passing. Mamush was an extremely radiant optimist, a light to all in his life, and the family comedian. His absence will surely be felt and he will not be forgotten. But if we want him here on earth with us so badly, then we can understand how badly heaven wanted him too. We pray that Mamush is feeling at peace alongside our Lord and Savior in heaven. We also pray that healing comes and may we remember to surrender it all so that God’s will be done. 

While we are dealing with the emotional devastation, unfortunately, there are additional worries of financial matters left to Mamush's immediate family, such as his tombstone and remaining funeral costs. We are asking you, friends, and family, to please donate as you see fit and are capable of doing so. We have set up this donation entirely for his surviving wife, our beloved auntie, who also had COVID-19 and suffered physically and financially as a result. She has endured so much pain and her grief will only heal in time, but we are hoping that at least this donation will lessen one aspect of her stressors.

ዜና እረፍት!


"መልካሙን ገድል ተጋድዬአለሁ፥ ሩጫውን ጨርሼአለሁ፥ ሃይማኖትን ጠብቄአለሁ፤ 

ወደ ፊት የጽድቅ አክሊል ተዘጋጅቶልኛል፥ ይህንም ጻድቅ ፈራጅ የሆነው ጌታ ያን ቀን ለእኔ ያስረክባል፥ ደግሞም መገለጡን ለሚወዱት ሁሉ እንጂ ለእኔ ብቻ አይደለም።

የቤተሰባችን አካል የሆነው የወንጌላዊ ማሙሽ ጌታቸው በድንገት በCOVID-19በሽታ ከዚህ አለም በሞት መለየቱን ስንገልጽ በታላቅ ሀዘን ነው::


ወንጌላዊ ማሙሽ በOttowa Canada Queensway Carleton Hospital በጽኑ ህሙማን ክፍል ለሶስት ሳምንታት ያህል በህክምና ሲረዳ ቆይቶ May 1,2021 ከዚህ ዓለም በሞት ተለይቷል::

ወንጌላዊ ማሙሽ የተወደደ ባል ወንድም አጎት ጉዋደኛ ለብዙዎች መንፈሳዊ መሪና የእግዚአብሔር አገልጋይ ነበር::


ወንጌላዊ ማሙሽ ጌታቸው ከሚወዳት ባለቤቱ ነርስ ኤልሣቤጥ ነጋሽ ጋር ላለፉት 25 ዓመት በጋብቻ ውስጥ የነበረ ሲሆን እንደ ልጁ ከነበረው ኤልያስ ሲሳይ ጋር እንዲሁም ከባለቤቱ እናት ወይዘሮ የሻረግ አፅቀ እንዲሁም ከሌሎቹ በጣም የቅርብ ቤተሰቦቹ እና ጉዋደኞቹ ጋር ባለው መልካም ግንኙነት ይታወሳል::


ወንጌላዊ ማሙሽ በወጣትነቱ ዘመነ በፖለቲካና በጦርነት ምክንያት ብዙ አስከፊ የሆኑ የሕይወት ውጣውረዶችን አሳልፏል::


በዚህም ምክንያት ለረጅም ዓመታት በስደት ከቆየ በህዋላ ወደ ካናዳ  ለመምጣት እድል በማግኘቱ ህይወቱ እስከ አለፈበት ጊዜ በካንዳ ይኖር ነበር::


ወንጌላዊ ማሙሽ ካሳለፈው ችግር በላይ በመንፈሳዊው ህይወቱ እጅግ የበረታና በአገኘው አጋጣሚ በሚመችም በማይመችም ቦታ ወንጌልን ለሌሎች በማድረስ ብዙ ሰዎችን የሚያፅናና የሚያበረታታ እጅግ ትጉ አገልጋይ ነበር::


ወንጌላዊ ማሙሽ በማንኛውም አጋጣሚ የተዋወቁት ሰዎች የሚያውቁት በቅንነቱ በየዋህነቱ በሰው አክባሪነቱ ሲሆን በተጨማሪም ትልቅ ትንሽ ሳይል ሁሉን የሚወድ በተለይም ለአዛውንቶችና ለህፃናት ልዩ ፍቅርና እንክብካቤ ያለው ነበር::


በዚህም ስነምግባሩ ይሰራበት በነበረው በOttowa School System በልጆች ደህንነት ዙሪያ በሚያከናውናቸው ከፍተኛ የሆኑ ስራዎቹ በተማሪዎቹና በስራ ባልደረቦቹ እጅግ ተወዳጅ ነበር::

ውድ በሆነው የቤተሰባችን አባል ማሙሽ ከዚህ እለም በሞት መለየት በቤተሰቡና በሚያውቁት ሁሉ ትልቅ ሀዘንን አሳድሯል::


ማሙሽ በቤተሰቡ መካከል በጣም ተጨዋና አስቸጋሪ የሆኑ የህይወት ገጠመኞች በራሱና በቤተሰቡ ላይ ሲደርስ በእግዚአብሔር የሚተማመንና ነገሮችን አቅልሎ የሚያይ መንፈሳዊና የፍቅር ሰው ነበር::

የእርሱ በሞት መለየት በጣም የሚሰማንና ልንረሳው የማንችለው ትልቅ ሀዘናችን ቢሆንም

እርሱ ግን በሚወደውና በሚያከብረው ተስፋችን በሆነው በአምላኩ እግዚአብሔር እቅፍ ውስጥ እንደአለ ስለምናምን እና ሁልጊዜ ካንደበቱ ከማይጠፉት ከሱ ቀድመው ከሄዱት እናቱ እና አባቱ ጋር መሆኑን ስናስብ በዚህ እንጽናናለን::


በዚህ አስቸጋሪ ወቅት በጸሎትና በማፅናናት ከጎናችን ለደገፋችሁን ሁሉ ከልብ እናመሰግናለን ጌታ ኢየሱስም ይባርካችሁ እንላለን:: 

ቤተሰቦቹ::


በወንድማችን ማሙሽ  ሐዘን ባለንበት በዚህ ወቅት ፣ ለቀብር ስነስርዓት እና የተለያዩ ወጪዎችን ለመሸፈን በብዙ ውጥረት እንገኛለን።  እርስዎ ፣ ጓደኞች እና ቤተሰቦች ማድረግ የሚችሉትን እንዲለግሱ በትሕትና  እንጠይቃለን። ይህንን ለማንበብ ጊዜ ስለወሰዱ እና የማሙሽን ቤተሰብ በጥቂቱ ስለረዱ በምንወዳት ባለቤቱ (አክስታችን) ስም እናመሰግናለን ፡፡ 

እግዚአብሔር ይባርኮት።
