In Memory of our Friend Ian Judd for his son

Hi, my name is Shannon McLaughlin, and with great sadness, I write this for my dear friend Ian Judd, that received his Angel Wings on March 11, 2022. I have been trying to find the words for the last week because if you knew Ian, he was so whity and extremely clever with saying and writing the right things. On the other hand, I am not, and I am sure he is watching me try to write this and laughing.

I am speaking not only for myself but for the Hardrock Family, which Ian was a part of. Most do not work together as long as many of us did in the bar industry, and I feel pretty lucky to have worked with Ian for twelve years. My friend Chris McAfee said it the best; we grew up together. Some people spend HIghschool or College together; twelve years of opening a hotel together and working side by side, most people don't get that opportunity. So many memories laughs, and shenanigans that I will cherish forever. We were all a beautiful disaster, and I wouldn't change any of it for the world. I will miss your wit, laugh, ugly Hawaiian shirts, craziness, family dinners and drinks after work, and how much you loved your son Thomas and dog Rascal.

I am sad that your mini-me, will grow up without you, but your Hardrock Family wanted to do something that Thomas would have from you when he is older. Please help me and the Hardrock family raise money for his son Thomas. I will be putting any money raised into a CD or something like that for him to have when he is older.
