In Memory of Pfc Evan Bath USMC

Donation protected
I am setting up this Go Fund Me per the request of my sister, Aleta Bath, the mother of Pfc. Evan Bath. We have been getting many inquiries as to a place to send donations, and she has chosen this foundation because this would have been very close to Evan’s heart. He was always willing to help out his fellow brothers, and she felt by directing these funds to an organization, Laguna Niguel Military Support Foundation that supports his unit Bravo 1/4, it would be honoring his legacy.

Evan was a Private First Class in the United States Marine Corps and a member of the 15th Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU), 1 Marine Expeditionary Force. Evan was among eight Marines and one US Navy Hospital Corpsman who lost their lives after an amphibious assault vehicle (AAV) mishap during a training exercise off the coast of southern California on July 30.

Evan attended Oak Creek High School and graduated from the Connections Academy in June 2019. He was an avid student of history and enjoyed playing and designing strategy games, particularly those related to military science. There is nothing that Evan liked better than a schedule, and the feeling of satisfaction that came from checking a task off of his endless to-do list. Evan had a great sense of humor and a smile that he shared freely. He always had a kind word or a helping hand for people who needed either. He loved God, his country, his family, and his friends.

Evan’s dream in life was to join the Marines and serve his country. He achieved his dream, attending Marine Corps basic training in July 2019 before being assigned to the 15th MEU. Evan is our hero. He will live forever in the hearts and memories of the many people he touched with his strength, his warmth, and his commitment to service.

We are comforted by the many people from our churches and our communities who have reached out to share their condolences and fond memories of Evan and who have stepped up to help us greatly. We are also grateful for the many fellow Marines who have shared their memories of hard work, laughter, and tears with our beloved son.

We pray for strength and comfort for the families and loved ones of the other Marines and sailor who lost their lives with Evan.
