In Memory of Phillip Hayward

Phillip Walter Hayward passed away on Monday, August 24, 2020 at the age of 23. He was the dearly beloved son of Hal and Susan Hayward, as well as the brother of Woody and Amy. Phillip was an especially bright ray of light in the life of his partner, Alex, and Alex was the sunshine in his. He is survived by his grandparents Walter and Eileen Frees, and Harold and Mary Ann Hayward, as well as a range of aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Phillip grew up in Ho-Ho-Kus, attended Northern Highlands Regional High School, and went on to earn a B.S. degree in Chemistry from the University of Delaware. He worked as a lab chemist in Orangeburg, New York.
Phillip always knew how to light up a room with his beautiful bright smile and contagious sharp humor. He was never at a loss for an outrageous quip or a witty phrase, and his unique character was enjoyed by all. Anybody who was fortunate to know him will always remember his warmth and love for his friends.
We're raising funds in honor of Phil; all proceeds will be donated to the Trevor Project. The Trevor Project is an American non-profit organization founded in 1998 focused on suicide prevention efforts among lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, and questioning youth. Thank you for reading, spread Love.
