In Memory of PJ Stoner: A Father's Love Lost to Suicide
Donation protected
My name is Ashlee and I created this fundraiser to help my family with the financial burden of funeral costs for a loss none of us were ready for.
It is with a heavy heart that I share the sudden and devastating loss of PJ Stoner to suicide on December 5th, 2024. He was only 54 years old.
One of PJ's most extraordinary gifts was his capacity to make others laugh, even in the face of tremendous personal pain and suffering. His unwavering love for his family will be felt and cherished forever.
He loved spending time with his wife, Laurie, all things NASCAR and could often be found playing his drum set or cuddling his beloved dogs. PJ was also known as "Grandpa Stoner" and adored his grand sons, often telling me, through his contagious laugh "They're better than having kids and more fun."
I am also hoping to bring light to the suicide epidemic - such a permanent decision often made because of a temporary problem, has a lifelong devastating ripple effect on the loved ones left behind. For anyone who needs to hear this please know you are not alone, you are loved, and don't be afraid to ask for help. There is always hope and brighter days ahead.
The outpouring of love and support from friends and the community during this unimaginably difficult time means the world! A financial donation, however big or small, will have a huge impact on helping my family navigate the tough journey ahead.
Thank you so much for taking the time to let me share this heartbreaking story. And thank you from the bottom of my heart for your love and support. xo
Sincerely,
Ashlee
