In Loving Memory of Raymond “Jojo” Guerrero
Hello,
My name is Rochelle Fernandez and Ray aka “Jojo” is my first cousin on my mom’s side of the Guerrero family. On January 7, 2021, Ray passed away with complications due to COVID. Sadly, we are still in disbelief and missing him so dearly. He is survived by 2 loving daughters, Mahal (age 11) and Malaya (age 9).
Ray’s family migrated from the Philippines when he was in grade school. He instantly became my Kuya (big brother)! Just 2 years apart in age, we had the time of our lives through our elementary and high school days. We made sure to have each other’s back from getting into trouble with my parents and our grandparents. The house parties, the wop and robocop dance moves, high school dances, his slicked back feathered hair...those were the days.
For the past 24 years, Ray worked for the LAPD as a 911 dispatcher/instructor. His dedication and passion to make a difference in people’s lives have impacted so many in a positive way. Ray was also a proud father of 2 beautiful and uniquely smart daughters. They were his entire life! He sacrificed everything for them. He always made sure to keep them smiling and feeling loved every day.
On behalf of the Guerrero and Endriga Families, we are forever grateful for the special messages received on Facebook and texts. It has been a true blessing to know that Ray was just as respected, admired and loved by his friends and colleagues. Thank you for your kind words.
We have created this fundraiser to help with funeral and memorial services for Ray. Both his daughters, Mahal and Malaya, will also be beneficiaries. We give our sincerest thanks for your continued support and prayers.
Rest In Peace Raymond “Jojo” L. Guerrero
February 20, 1969 - January 7, 2021
Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord,
and let perpetual light shine upon him.
May his soul and the souls of Mama and Papa Guerrero, and Tito Tony, through the mercy of God, rest in peace.
Amen.
