In Memory of Rebekah Grohl

This Go Fund Me is honoring the life and memory of our dear friend, Rebekah Grohl.

We would like to raise money to help memorialize her; her compassion, her loyalty, and her dedication. We would also like to help her family with funding any costs associated to her celebration of life.
We ask that everyone to donate $18, the average donation for Senator Bernie Sanders’ Presidential campaign, or whatever they are able to donate.

Please help us remember Rebekah as what she was: a fierce catalyst for change and a compassionate, fearless and loving leader whose light was taken much too early. On January 5, at 3:29pm, her light was extinguished from this earth. Rebekah was a fierce advocate for promoting democracy and civic engagement. She loved Newburgh and always found ways to help promote the beauty of our city.

We will honor her memory by promoting the very ideals she held so dear, being true to ourselves, and continuing to make a difference in the community she loved. As Rebekah's favorite musician and artist, Marilyn Manson, once said, “I never said to be like me, I say to be like you and go make a difference."

Rebekah took up a fight that was larger than her, larger than all of us. She inspired so many to find the best in themselves. To love, to care, and to be the change they wish to see in the world. She did not just talk about empathy...she lived it and practiced it every day. She was so many things to so many people. Daughter, sister, partner, friend, ally, and advocate. She was our champion...the best of us. Our reminder of the pure good that exists in the world.
