It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Regina Hickey on Thursday, September 12, after a long, brave and hard-fought battle against breast cancer.
Regina was an incredibly strong, intelligent, super witty, and deeply caring woman with unwavering faith who was adored by all who knew her. She loved her family — husband Bob and children Kayla (16) and Noah (12) — with all of her heart. Throughout her struggle, Regina always managed to put the needs of her family before her own.
Bob has been an amazing partner and dedicated caregiver, especially during the past few months. He never left Regina's side except to spend time with Kayla and Noah in an ongoing effort to keep their lives as normal as possible under these difficult circumstances. Our hearts are with Bob, Kayla and Noah. This beautiful family must now find a way to face tomorrow in a world that no longer contains their wonderful wife and amazing mother.
Let's unite as a community to raise money for Bob, Kayla and Noah. Any support will be helpful as Bob hasn't been able to work much recently since he was Regina’s primary caregiver. He has done and will continue to do his best to care for his family. Now let's do what we can to take some of the stress and burden off of Bob so he can have time to catch his breath, be there for his kids and grieve for his wife. All money collected will go toward the funding of Regina's memorial as well as to aid in paying household and medical bills and to purchase any other items that the family might need during this difficult time.
Gone from our sight, but never from our hearts... We miss you, Regina! REST IN PEACE knowing we are all here to help Bob, Kayla and Noah with whatever they need.
