In Memory of Reynaldo "Dodoy" Famatid

On the morning of August 6th, heaven gained another angel. Reynaldo, or “Dodoy” to many of his family and close friends, was a hardworking, caring, loving husband, father, brother, uncle and friend, who was taken away too soon fighting a battle against COVID-19.
Dodoy was loved by many. He is survived by his wife, Serena “Eny", daughter Elaine & son-in-law Sinh, and daughter Elouisa “Lisa."
On July 10th, Dodoy was admitted to the hospital in Iloilo, Philippines for pneumonia and then tested COVID-19 positive. He fought hard every single day for recovery, and continued to stay positive with all the love and prayers from all over the world. God called him to heaven at 7:41 am, Friday August, 6, 2021 (Philippines time). Due to the state of healthcare in the Philippines, all medical expenses are paid out of pocket.
Currently, the Philippines is on lockdown due to the high surge of the COVID-19 pandemic. Elaine, Sinh & Lisa are in California US, and are working very hard with the Philippine Embassy to be allowed to travel to the Philippines to attend their father’s funeral services. They have applied for an “exemption visa” and are waiting for the response. We are continuing to pray for this approval, so Elaine, Sinh & Lisa can be reunited with their mom, and be present in person to say good-bye to their father.
Depending on the travel status of his children, funeral services will be be organized and planned.
