In Memory of Richard Kirenga. Funeral Fundraiser

It is with great sadness that we inform you of the death of our beloved son, brother, uncle and friend, Richard Kirenga.
Richard arrived in the United States as a teenager and like many he was full of hopes and dreams of a future with limitless possibilities. He wanted to make his mark on the world and more than anything he wished to see a more just and peaceful world! Unfortunately, his life has been cut short by a sudden diagnosis with diabetes, which coupled with a lifetime struggle with mental illness left him no fighting chance.
Those who knew Richard will speak of his unmatched kindness and gentle spirit. He never worried about himself but was rather haunted by the injustices of this world and well being of others. Richard gave selflessly to those less fortunate and often to those more fortunate than him. Richard was a pure soul who always chose to see the best in others and lived a life free of judgment of others. He always did the right thing and trusted that others would do the same.
Richard was always a brilliant and a top performer in school. He loved science and as a boy, he hoped to become an engineer. He had a passion for cars and computers and eventually studied automotive mechanics and Computer science. Richard was extremely athletic and a great basketball and soccer (football) player. He loved martial arts.
As we celebrate the extraordinary soul and man he was, we are grateful for the way he warmed our hearts with unconditional love.
