Beneath his tough exterior, Rick was known for his relentless kindness, unwavering support, and infectious jokes. He was a pillar of strength for his family, a source of joy for his grandchildren, and touched the lives of all who knew him. This has been a tough season for the Root family, who have also recently lost Joyce Jones, a loving wife, mother, and grandma.
