In memory of Rifleman Nathan Worner
Newmedica Eye Clinic Bristol, are taking part in The Bristol 10k on Sunday 19th May. We are hoping to raise £1,000 for Suicide Prevention Bristol.
I sadly lost my beautiful son Nathan Worner to suicide on 4th May 2020. He tragically took his own life following a battle with mental health illness, he was just 20 years old. Nathan was a serving soldier, and was a Rifleman in the British army, based in Bulford.
Losing Nathan completely devastated my world, suicide changes the dynamics of family life, and impacts on the mental health of families. Nathan came from a very loving, caring and supportive family, and yet we still lost the most incredible boy, who is missed so very much. We are left with so many unanswered questions, and haunted by the trauma we have suffered.
Like so many families that have suffered a loss to suicide, the signs become all too obvious, when its sadly too late. Suicide in so many cases, can be so preventable.
I have decided to take on the challenge of the Bristol 10k, to not only raise funds for this fantastic charity, but also in the hope of raising awareness of mental health issues, and the prevention of suicide.
Do you want to join me in making a difference? We are raising money in aid of Suicide Prevention Bristol and every donation will help. Thank you in advance for your contribution to this cause, it really means so much to me.
