After 38 years of marriage to Maria F. Aviles, 8 children and 18 grandchildren, Roman Olivares Medina, age 59, suddenly passed away this morning.
Roman was born in Morelos, Mexico but spent most of his young adulthood in Iguala, Guerrero, Mexico where he meet is wife and began their family. Later, they relocated to the Yakima Valley where they continued to expand their family and raise their children.
Roman spent many years working in the agricultural industry, harvesting hop, apples, grapes and cherries. He was a remarkably generous person with a big heart. Always finding a way to help others in need and putting his family and friends first.
He will be greatly missed by his family who will remember is warmth and in beautiful colored eyes.
Roman is preceded in death by his mother, Celedonia Medina Andres.
Roman Olivares Medina is survived his wife, Maria, their 8 children Esperanza, Rosa, Veronica, Luis, Vanessa, Esmeralda, Manuel and Leslie. His 18 grandchildren Jaime, SR David, Verenice, Candelaria, Amalia, Zeyli, Deniz, Aeden, Mariela, Janeli, Gael, Shamira, Davian, Juan, Jaylee, Mackenzie, Makayla and Roman. His father, Quirino Aviles Olivares and his 5 siblings, Irene, Juana, Magdaleno, Reyna and Eva.
His family thanks everyone who was part of Roman's life. He will be greatly missed but we are relieved he will no longer be in pain. Roman's sudden passing has been understandably hard on the family. This is our opportunity to show them our appreciation for the life Roman lived as a son, brother, husband, father, grandfather and friend.
