In Memory of Sammy Broad (Harding)
Donation protected
In the early hours of Monday 1st of May, we received a phone call that made our world stand still; our beautiful Sammy had been taken to hospital with critical conditions where she was put on life support, but the odds were massively against us.
Many of you are aware Sammy and Mitchell recently just celebrated the happiest day of their lives when they both took their vows in marriage. Those who had the privilege to attend the day will too agree how magical it was. They lived a very happy life together with their two beautiful children, Skye (3) and Jimmy (2) - to Sammy, her children were her world. She was truly inspirational in the way she cared for her babies, and it showed in how much they adored her too. Sammy had the biggest heart and was loved by many, so our lives will now inevitably have a very big hole in for eternity.
As you can imagine, in no way could we have prepared for unimaginable circumstances such as this. How can such a tragedy occur just 3 weeks after their happiest moment? Come Tuesday afternoon, the decision was made to turn off the life support as a result of tests that had been carried out, and it was confirmed that Sammy was sadly no longer with us. She left behind her two beautiful children, her husband Mitchell, her family and friends, and anybody that Sammy touched the lives of.
As a family, there are major changes we are going to have to make in our day to day life. As this happens, we want to give Mitchell the time he needs to grieve for Sammy. We want to raise as much as we can so that he can also focus on guiding his children through this hard phase, and we hope that, with time, Mitchell and his children will be able to move forward and remember their beautiful Mum with a smile.
Any donations will be a great help towards the cost of the funeral, to support Mitchell and both children whilst he takes a very much needed break from work, and any childcare costs needed to enable Mitchell to return to work at a later stage. The funds will also mean we can help give Skye and Jimmy the best upbringing we can
Rest in peace Sammy
