In memory of Sandra Jean Cherry (Hunt)
Donation protected
My name is Tori Hunt. My mom, Sandra Jean Cherry (Hunt), passed away unexpectedly on October 29th, 2024. She just turned 61 years old on the second of this month. My mom was born in Durango, CO, to Shirley and William Cherry, the only daughter of my grandparents, surrounded by her three brothers. My mom lived in Thatcher, AZ, for a little while, and then they moved to the Taylor area. My mom graduated from Snowflake High School. She had my older sister, Tabitha, in 1988. I was born in 1996. My mom was a lover of animals, and honestly, she considered her pets as close or closer than my sister and I as children. My mom was a daddy's girl, and my grandpa was very influential in her life. When I was young, my mom started a daycare in Holbrook that I attended. I enjoyed being there and being able to see my mom at school. My mom would do anything for you if you asked. She was the nicest person and most sympathetic to others more than herself. My mom had a work injury when I was about 6 years old, and she was in pain a lot for the past 20+ years. I am happy that she's not in pain anymore and has peace. My mom has five grandchildren. My mom also leaves behind her partner of 16 years, Scott Sowell.
My mom unfortunately did not have any funds set aside or a will for services to be arranged. However, I am her next of kin, and I unfortunately do not have the financial means at this time to move forward with services. I am not usually one to ask for help, but this is one thing that I cannot do without it. I will solely be asking for help with cremation and funds to help with other expenses in urns or other expenses/fees that come with arrangements.
Anything helps during this hard time and I appreciate all the love and support. Even if you cannot donate, I would love if you could share.
