In memory of Sara Jane Oleksy

It is with a heavy heart that we mourn the sad and tragic passing of Sara Jane Oleksy. This beautiful soul was taken from us much too soon, leaving behind her 5 year old daughter, Kacey.

Sara’s passion for helping people was evident in her work and relationships. Her kind-hearted, generous spirit touched many lives, from her family and friends to her many patients at the Seniors Lodge. Sara’s young life had many struggles, but she fought hard to make a good life for herself and little Kacey. After walking alongside Kacey in her 4 yearlong battle with cancer, they were making happy plans to move back home to Agassiz. Tragically, this will never come to be.

Sara passed away suddenly at the age of 25 on May 26, 2022. Kacey’s young life will never be the same. This little girl – even with her own tragedies at such a young age – exhibits the same kind-hearted, compassionate spirit that her mother had. But she will need all the love and support we can give her.

In lieu of flowers, we are asking for your generosity with donations to help cover Sara’s unexpected funeral costs and to help assist with little Kacey’s future. A Trust fund will be set up by Rebecca Novis (step mom) and Trevor Oleksy (father).
