In memory of Sarah Elizabeth Hewett (née Lines)
We would like to encourage you to donate to Dorothy House hospice, in memory of Sarah Hewett.
Sarah was the most caring, loving and selfless person always putting others before herself.
Diagnosed in 2017 with ALS (Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis), she managed her condition through meditation, diet, alternative therapies and healing.
In June 2018 Sarah fell and broke her hip and wrist resulting in a hip replacement but the hospital were unable to cope with Sarah's lack of mobility and she returned home after 2 days.
In September 2019 Sarah was diagnosed with breast cancer and although surgically removed, it returned in May 2020. Dorothy House was able to visit Sarah at home and provide the support and practical services that she needed.
Once the combination of her ALS and cancer meant that her family could no longer cope with her illnesses, Dorothy House took her into their hospice and cared for her until her death on Thursday 23rd July 2020.
Dorothy House was the light in the darkness. When we could do no more for Sarah they stepped in and gave her the medical care she needed, but with the love and compassion that is sometimes missing in the wider health service. Dorothy House needs supporting and your donation will enable many others to receive the same level of support and care that Sarah had and for her family who will receive in the future through their ongoing support of bereaved families.
I, Nick, and our boys Sam, Harry & Joe would appreciate you forwarding this link on to others who may be able to and would want to help. We need to raise as much as possible for such a worthy and caring hospice who through their community visits, out patient clinics and hospice support a huge number of people.
Many thanks in advance to all of you who are able to donate.
