Sarah Ruth "Peanut" Urlacher, aged 32, passed away on June 24, 2024, in Phoenix, Arizona. Born on November 12, 1991, in Pasadena, California, Sarah was known for her kindness, courage, and a spirited sense of adventure that touched everyone she met.
Sarah excelled as a figure skater from a young age, beginning at just ten years old. Her talent and dedication led her to compete at national levels, inspiring many with her grace and athleticism. Beyond the rink, Sarah had a profound love for animals, particularly her dogs and horses. She was an excellent English rider, often found spending her cherished moments with her horse, Sapphire.
After the loss of her beloved stepfather, Sarah embraced life with open arms, backpacking across Europe and always ready to embark on new adventures. Her witty and entertaining personality made her a beloved figure among her friends and family.
Sarah attended Grandview High School, followed by New Mexico University. Professionally, she contributed significantly to her community, working as a Psych Tech at Desert Hill Youth and Family Services and previously in customer service at Hollister. Her commitment to service was evident through her volunteer work with Habitat for Humanity and her active lifestyle that included traveling and hiking with her siblings.
Memorial services will be held in both Pasadena, California, and Aurora, Colorado, on January 20, 2025. Honoring her passion for ice skating and her lifelong contributions to the sport, Sarah's legacy will live on in the hearts of all who knew her, forever remembered as a beacon of light and a source of joy.
