In Memory of Sean O’Connor

Hi, my name is Dave O'Connor and I am raising funds in support of the O'Connor family in the wake of the recent passing of Sean O'Connor.
On the night of Tuesday, May 23rd, Sean O'Connor passed away very suddenly, for reasons that have not yet been made clear to my family. Though I, my wife, and her family have started the process of moving my family back to Chicago, Sean's sudden passing has pulled the rug out from us, and then the floor, and then the ground, and on and on until it felt like there's nothing left to stand on. I took for granted how much my Brother Sean was a rock that stood between my family and an abyss.
If you have it in your heart share, any amount will be appreciated. The money will be used to help with funeral expenses and to help with paying his mortgage until the house can be sold.
For those of you who knew Sean, you know that he set everything aside to be the primary caretaker for much of his family. For those of you who never got the chance to meet Sean, this role meant so many things.
Years ago, two of his nieces walked into his life needing a dad.
He was there with open arms ready to raise them like his own. As one dear family member put it, they became his "why". The center of his life.
His mother needed a caretaker. Who took care? Who coordinated doctors and made meals? Sean.
His brother Will grew ill and needed someone to watch over him. Sean stepped up, and became his brother's keeper.
And in 2022, when I told him I needed to take a step back to focus on starting a family, he didn't flinch. He was just excited that baby brother was finally smart enough to get married and start a family. He found a bigger home and moved his nieces, brother Will, and mother Karen from the home they knew in the suburbs of Chicago to rural Indiana.
Sean set aside his own career, friends, and a lot of his own interests, because family needed him, because to him that's what mattered most. He loved his family, but if I am being honest, he'd be there for anyone if he thought he could be of service. He lived in service of others. In the past few day's I have been so blessed to hear stories from family, friends, and even strangers about how he helped them in one way or another. Seeing how he touched peoples' lives has been such a blessing.
You couldn't tell him to rest or take a break. You couldn't convince him to share the burden. He'd move a mountain if he thought it made your day easier. Sean was a force of nature that way, and as much as I wished that he shared the burden a little more, I know he was kind of proud himself for being a rock in so many peoples' lives.
Thank you in advance for any contribution. His family is so grateful for anything you can share.
