In Memory of SFC Fike and SFC Hoover
On June 11, 2010, SFC Robert Fike and SFC Bryan Hoover were killed in action by a suicide bomber while serving in Zabul, Afghanistan. The loss was devastating to their friends, family, and the men and women with whom they served. Eleven years later, they are still dearly missed.
However, in losing them, we have gained something else: a renewed sense of purpose and an opportunity to turn tragedy into triumph. To honor their sacrifice and continue their legacy of service to others, we can offer our help to others in need.
Taking care of soldiers was always a top priority for Fike and Hoover. In that same spirit, The Military Family Advisory Network works to take care of service members and their families. Donations made to the Military Family Advisory Network will help military and veteran families connect with the resources and services needed to navigate military and veteran life.
Additionally, MFAN is working to relieve food insecurity among service members, a little known issue that has been exacerbated by the pandemic.
Through raising money for this cause, we can help veterans in need and continue the legacy of selfless service that SFC Fike and SFC Hoover instilled in those who knew them. In doing so, we ensure that we Never Forget.
