In memory of Sgt. DeLong a Patriotic Veteran
Donation protected
Sgt. James G. DeLong was born in 1942 in Oconto Falls Wisconsin and spent most of his childhood living in Alaska. At the age of 17 he made the decision to join the Armed Forces in the branch of Navy. He spent 4 years traveling the world on an aircraft carrier. Once discharged, his love for the military motivated him to reenlist in the Army. He spent 7 years serving the country he loved.
James went on to work a civil service job, and that is where he met Linda his wife of 52 years. He and his wife moved to Texas in 1968 where he spent the rest of his career working at Vought Aeronautics as an electrician until he retired in 2006.
James had a good life with quite a legacy, 2 daughters, 5 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
James went on to be with the Lord on July 12, 2019 after a 2 week battle with congestive heart failure.
James passed with no life insurance so we are asking for donations in lieu of flowers to help with continued expenses.
Thank you in advance for your prayers, and acts of kindness.
