In Memory of Sgt. Jorge Zambrano
Donation protected
It is with heavy hearts that we created this Gofund me for Jorge "Jay" Zambrano who took his last breath this past Wednesday September 8th, 2021. He fought a long and hard battle with COVID-19. We lost our brother, son, cousin, nephew, boyfriend, friend, soldier, and all around great human being.
As many families have experienced in this past year the sudden deaths of COVID-19 are both unexpected and tragic. Our family is seeking support from our friends and anyone who has it in their hearts to contribute what they can to help us give Jorge the proper funeral he deserves. No donation is too small, and your contribution is greatly appreciated.
For those who knew Jorge, he was the walking definition of a spark, always sharing a smile, a joke, or anything to bring out the best in anyone. He was a decorated Sergeant in the U.S Army who served his country for 10 years completing multiple tours overseas fighting for our freedom.
Jorge was enrolled at the University of Central Florida and scheduled to obtain his bachelor's degree in accounting this Fall.
He was all about giving back to his community and people in need. It was this spirit of solidarity that led him to embark on various initiatives such as going to his families’ homeland of Ecuador and donating school supplies to children in impoverished communities.
Among his many qualities, Jorge loved dancing, cracking jokes, sharing his wisdom, and his great sense of style.
As a family, we will miss him every day. He left with us a legacy that is remarkable in more ways than we can describe.
We truly appreciate the generosity of your donations and thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
Warmly,
The Zambrano Velez Family
