In Memory of Shane Powers

Shane Powers, manager of Hillsdale College Bon Appetit, recently passed away. He was known for being a friendly face around our dining hall and serving the student body and faculty on our campus. He helped Hillsdale College with anything from serving snacks to students during finals week, to working with students individually to accommodate their dietary needs, to working with Hillsdale staff to have fun projects where students could earn Charger cash through fun meal-time trivia nights.

The student body would like to give back to Shane and his family by helping with any funeral costs and expenses that the Powers family will be facing in the next coming weeks. Any and all contributions to this campaign are most welcome. We will be collecting donations until August 18 so we can bring the total to Mrs. Powers at a memorial event coming up later in the month.

We are grateful for Shane's service and care for students and staff in the time he was with us at Hillsdale College.
