Whatever Allah willed to be shall be and whatever Allah willed not to be shall not be. With great sorrow in our hearts and by the Will of Allah, we inform you the death of our dearest and honourable brother, Shaykh Mohamed Hersi Qaal.
Our beloved brother passed away suddenly from cardiac arrest on the fourth of Ramadan, Friday, April 16, 2021. He was a knowledgeable and patient man who encouraged others to learn and self-grow. He greeted his teachers, students and friends with respect and treated them like family. He opened his doors to whoever was in need and graced them mannerly with kindness and wisdom.
He was a man who loved to spread Islamic Knowledge wherever he went. He outreached to different communities through multiple platforms to teach the Knowledge. He provided places of learning and was always open in answering questions or concerns of the Muslims. He had not only affected the hearts of the Muslims in Canada but as well in Australia, America, Ethiopia, Somalia, Lebanon and perhaps many more that we may not be aware of.
To the end of his life, he always thought of what more he can do for his community. He had planned on raising money to benefit the Muslims. In honour of his last wishes, we would like you to donate for the sake of Allah. As we are in Ramadan, do not let the chance of Saddaqul Jaariyah pass by you. The Prophet ﷺ said “Money is never lessened due to sincere charity”. Donate and Insha Allah, Allah will reward you for your efforts.
May Allah bring blessings to Shaykh Mohamed Hersi Qaal and reward his loved ones for their patience. آمین
