In Memory of Shayma Roman

Hello,

My name is Michelle, and I am the aunt of Shayma Roman. On Wednesday, September 28th our hearts were broken as our darling niece, Shayma Roman, was stolen from us through the tragedy of gun violence. Just weeks away from her 18th birthday, Shayma was a source of light and joy for all who knew her. Boisterous, always full of energy, Shayma loved to dance, play basketball, and dote on her beloved pets - a dog, cat, and rabbit.

While nothing will ever help make sense of such a senseless act, we are fundraising to help ease the financial burden on Shayma's immediate family so that they can properly mourn the loss of their precious daughter and sister. Shayma's parents, Winter and Mario, her stepfather Tony, her siblings Tayma and Shakeem, and a host of other family members are doing their best to get through each day in the aftermath of this unthinkable situation.
