We mourn the unexpected death of our dear colleague Dr. Sidhanta Nanda, who suddenly passed away on September 5th, 2024.

Sidhanta has worked as a postdoctoral fellow at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai since 2023, and he has been a beloved colleague and friend, who was known to all by his incredibly kind and friendly nature. He touched the lives of everyone around him, always offering personal and scientific help.

Sidhanta comes from the Indian state of Odisha, and he has made also many dear friends in the Odia community in NYC. He leaves behind his mother, brother, and sister in India.

This fund collection in his memory will serve to support Sidhanta’s mother and family in India during this difficult time.

We want to come together on Tuesday, September 24th to celebrate Sidhanta’s life in a Memorial Service at Mount Sinai.

The service will be held at 5 PM in the Hatch Auditorium, the street entrance is 1468 Madison Avenue, New York 10029.
