In Memory of Silas Krebbs

Donation protected

Silas came to DSST: Conservatory Green MS in the middle of 6th grade during the 2018-2019 school year, and immediately became a valued part of our community.  Silas never failed to bring a smile to our faces straight off the bus when he would show up wearing camo pants or donning his amazing Stormtrooper hoodie.

Silas was an integral part of the 6th class that year as he attended Social Studies, Science and Advisory with his peers and also actively participated in Spirit Week without fail, showing up in his PJs, with crazy hair, or as a football player on Future Day. Silas often attended extra-curricular activities such as the Winter Dance, where he was easily one of the best dressed in his shirt and tie.

Silas was such an inspiration, for he showed up to school every day despite the struggles he faced. Although he may have been in pain or uncomfortable at times, he continued to persevere and always gave his best at school.

Currently there is no cure for the condition Silas lived with.  Alpers Syndrome is a neurological condition that results in developmental regression.  Silas has been the oldest living child with Alpers in the United States. Brandy Krebbs, Silas’s mom, has been an advocate for children with Alpers, and has supported Silas in maintaining a high quality of life throughout his journey.

Please help us support Silas’s family by offsetting the substantial medical expenses incurred throughout his battle with Alpers Syndrome.  We appreciate your support and generosity!
