In Memory of Silvia Espino
Silvia Espino passed away on May 15th 2020 due to COVID-19 related complications. Silvia was a shining light in her family & community. Facing challenges a large majority of her life is what built the tough yet beautiful soul we knew her to be. She came to America in 1988 as a teenager in pursuit of a better life with opportunity to support her family from Guatemala.
Silvia moved to the beautiful village of Dobbs Ferry in 1992 where she began her family, having both her son Edward and daughter Aileen. Throughout the years she occupied many different professions. Being such a positive, joyful & full of life person, she would leave a beautiful impact on countless individuals. Silvia was extremely determined and made it a priority to accomplish her dreams.
Over the last few decades she devoted her life to the church and helping the people of need. It was her passion to travel with the church to feed those struggling. A few large accomplishments she was very proud of was becoming a US citizen as well as graduating from bible school. Her last and most recent dream at the age of 52 was to go to nursing school in which she recently graduated from and starting working in the field. Silvia had a instinctive bug for helping others.
Silvia's pride and joy were her two grandchildren, Nicole and Justin. Silvia was a person that always seemed to have a smile on her face even during tough times. She was a servant of God, loving sister, mother, grandmother and friend to all.
We are raising funds in effort to relieve some financial burden for the Espino family associated with medical & funeral expenses. All funds raised will be directly given to the Espino family.
We ask for your help during this tough time for the Espino family. We will remember that infectious smile and pure soul Silvia undoubtedly had. Rest In Peach Silvia...you will be greatly missed.
