This GoFundMe fundraiser is to honor the memory of Stewart A. Bichet by opening a trust fund in his name that when any and all future grandchildren have surpassed the age of 25 will be divided equally among them as an inheritance gift in his honor.

Stewart Anthony Bichet II, best known as owner and operator of ASAP AutoGlass 2003-2020, peacefully passed away January 19, 2021 at Via Christi St. Joseph Hospital in Wichita, KS from diabetic complications.

He was born April 9, 1969 to Frederick and Carol Bichet in Hutchinson, KS,

Stewart graduated from Hutchinson High School in 1987 and began his different career adventures in sales, eventually realizing his dream of owning his own business.

He married Lana DeWater on October 4, 1992 and together they had two daughters, Viktoria and Erika.

After growing up in Hutch and living in Wichita through the 90's, the Bichet's settled in Hillsboro, KS in 2000 where they raised their girls and started their business, ASAP AutoGlass. A mobile autoglass repair and replacement company serving multiple counties, ASAP was at heart a family business and even provided the opportunity for Viktoria to open her own automotive related shop in Newton, KS.

Stewart was known for his love of loud music, the outdoors, and for being an extremely hard-working man. He enjoyed watching different sports and supporting Kansas teams such as the Chiefs, the Jayhawks and the Shockers. Family time was always a top priority in the Bichet household and they enjoyed many adventures together including vacations, concerts, outdoor activities like fishing, camping, and horseback riding, and of course the staples like the importance of being together for meals and having family game nights.

He was diagnosed as a diabetic in May 2008 and struggled to manage his health. Sadly as his health declined and COVID took hold of the world, the autoglass business was forced to close in early 2020 and he and Lana divorced that spring.

Stewart is proceeded in death by his grandparents and by his mother, Carol. He is survived by his father Fred Bichet of Hutchinson, daughter Viktoria (Jesse) Boucher and granddaughter Charlee Boucher of Florence, daughter Erika (Taylor) Bichet of Dodge City, half sister Shauna (Andres) Bichet of Irvington, California, and several nieces and nephews.

Due to COVID there will be no funeral services at this time. A celebration of life service is planned for family and close friends in the spring.
