In memory of my beautiful mama, Maria Gioconda.

Hello friends, family and anyone reading this. It breaks my heart to announce the passing of my mother, Maria Gioconda De Lucas also known as “Yocco”. As I’m sure every son would say, my mom was the absolute best and she was. Not only did she fulfill every single duty as a mother and wife, but she went above and beyond to exceed all those expectations. She was a therapist, chef, motivator, role model, a light to everyone she met and so much more. Her light and love was endless. She would take the shirt off her back to help someone else. I remember when I was younger we would always take a little care package to this homeless man that was always down the street from where we lived. All because of what her heart told her to do. She had a dream to one day open up a shelter for the elderly that are homeless and don’t have family for support. She was put on this earth to help those in need and provide love to all and her family will make sure that she stays alive with us by always and forever fulfilling those acts of kindness. Unfortunately we are not a family that has been well off financially but my mother and father have always found a way to provide my brother and I with everything we have ever wanted and needed. Now, during these incredibly hard times my father has been left alone to assume all the expenses of not only every day life but final expenses for my beautiful mother. I wish there was more that I could do, I wish I could solve every issue and every debt but there is only so much I can do at the moment. I need to put my pride aside and understand that my father needs help and it is unfair that he has to worry about bills while mourning the loss of his life partner of 38 years. I also understand every individual has problems of their own that need solving but if anyone is capable of helping with any amount to alleviate the burden for my father we would appreciate it until the end of time. If you feel comfortable sending your kind gesture a different way please do not hesitate to let me know. Thank you all from the bottom of my heart and the depths of my soul for all the support and love during this life altering experience.
