In Memory of Todd Houston

Todd Richard HOUSTON, a dedicated Border Services Officer and father of 3, passed away suddenly at the age of 44 on June 25th 2018 after a very brief but courageous battle with cancer. He died 3 weeks after being diagnosed.

This initiative has been created in response to Todd’s biggest fear of not having his kids taken care of as they grow to be young adults and beyond.



Todd worked with Canada Border Services Agency in the Atlantic Region for 8 years with postings at Four Falls NB, Woodstock Rd NB, the Halifax Stanfield International Airport NS, Waterfront Container Inspection Unit & the Container Examination Facility NS. He took great pride in putting on the CBSA uniform, serving the public and keeping Canada safe. Todd was an enforcement oriented officer with extensive enforcement stats throughout his career at all work locations. Fellow Officers will remember his keen eye, sharp wit and countless one liners used in the field that have risen to local CBSA lore. 

Todd would tell you though that his greatest accomplishment was being a father of 3 amazing children: Fynn (12), Kane (7) & Bree (5). Pursuant to Todd's wishes, the proceeds will go to an account set up for the sole benefit of the children that will be managed by their aunt and held in trust until they are 21. All funds raised will be used to assist the children in their future endeavours.
 
We are a family at CBSA and Todd’s kids are in a vulnerable place. As a family, we are in a position to help provide a brighter and more secure future for his kids in honour of their dad.

This fundraising effort has been initiated by Todd’s friends and colleagues with the Canada Border Services Agency, Emma, Hilary, Janice, Graham and Susan. All funds raised will be transferred directly into a trust account for the children, held by their aunt Carol.
