In Memory of Tom Whitaker: Support His Family

Hi. Thanks for taking the time to read this and consider a donation. With the passing of my dad, Tom Whitaker, the words have come so easily: "Please let me know if there is anything we can do for you and the family..." and this is where you can put your words into action for our family.

My parents, Tom & Janet, have always given generously to the church, to those in need, and to the community of Madera. When one of their dogs fell ill last year, they did everything they could to help save Bruce's life. This was no small bill for them, but it was worth it to still have Bruce, who was still considered a puppy, with us.

Then, 2024 came in and as you probably know, my dad recently graduated to Heaven. An amazing gift for my dad, but a huge challenge for my mom. Not only is she left with medical bills, but we are also faced with a bit of a debacle with his life insurance, which turns out to be hardly anything. Now, in the mail, we are receiving letters from Social Security and PERS asking for his income back that they sent in November because he passed, so we owe it back to them. However, we didn't know he was going to pass in November, so he had already spent it to pay the mortgage and other bills. On top of these reasons, my dad's dismantling yard really took a number on their finances years ago, and they were never able to recover fully from that. For these reasons, my mom is really stressed, overwhelmed, and flat-out scared about what's going to happen. For these reasons and more, I am asking for your help right now, for you to put your words into actions and help out where you can.

The funds will be used to help pay for the mortgage, electricity, and other daily living expenses.

We don't like asking for help like this, but we currently are out of options. We appreciate your kindness and your prayers during this difficult time. Thank you so much for your help and continued support to us all.
