In Memory of Trisha Lynn Fernandez

Words cannot express the shock and sorrow we are experiencing after learning about the sudden and tragic passing of my cousin, Trisha. She was a vivacious and fun-loving young lady, full of promise and spirit, always one to reach out to others to let them know she cared. She was a loving daughter and sister and a kind and thoughtful friend to many.

On the night of September 18, 2021, at the tender age of 22, her life was taken in a way we could have never imagined. According to authorities, Trisha was fatally shot and died at the scene. As we try to piece together the events that led up to that fateful night, we realize that we may never know what led to such senseless loss of life. We know a lot of information might be out there regarding this heartbreaking situation, and many of us may have our own ideas of what may have happened, but we remember that only God and those directly involved will know the truth.

Obviously, this unexpected loss leaves her family with an enormous financial burden, compounded by the fact that her permanent residence is in California, and the event occurred out of state. We humbly ask for a donation of any amount to help ease the monetary demands that the death of a loved one brings and to help bring her home so that her family can continue to grieve and pray for peace for all those involved and all who are affected by this tragedy.

We will miss her beautiful smile and heart of gold. The world lost another bright light, but we find peace in knowing she is smiling in heaven with those who went before us.
