In memory of Vinnie Verga- A fund for his children
Donation protected
This past Monday, Vinnie Verga AKA Vinnie Value, passed away suddenly and unexpectedly. Vinnie was a dedicated and loving father to his two children, whom he co-parented with his former spouse, Marguerite.
Vinnie was a legendary drummer in the New York Hardcore scene and played in such notable bands as Warzone, Kill Your Idols and No Redeeming Social Value. He toured the world and touched countless fans lives with his amazing musical ability, but even moreso with his memorable personality. He was quoted as having been “the only drummer we ever knew that was also a frontman from behind the drums” by his former bandmates.
While Vinnie’s first love was music, his true love was his family. He cared for his children deeply and committed himself to play an active role in both Gianna and Vincent’s lives.
Vinnie’s day to day role as a father was an integral part of his children’s lives. He was an involved and nurturing parent, picking them up from school and helping them with their homework every single day. He was a hands-on father, choosing to live near Gianna and Vincent so he could share a role in their upbringing with Marguerite. His sudden passing has created a devastating void in the co-parenting partnership they had together.
With all of the emotional pain and stress that a death brings, it also brings financial burdens. We are trying to raise money for Marguerite and their children to help with any costs they might incur and to deal with the day to day struggles a newly single parent will inevitably face.
It is in these times of loss and sadness that we see people coming together to help one another, to support the people we care for who have touched our lives in a positive way. We are thankful for any donation you may be able to provide and we also encourage everyone to keep Vinnie’s family in their thoughts.
