In Memory of Warren Vanderplate: Family Support

My name is Kaitlyn Vanderplate and I am the older sister of Warren Vanderplate, a 16-year-old boy who tragically passed away in a dirt bike accident on August 31st, 2024, at 8:15 pm.

I was on my way home from work when I received a phone call from my grandmother, Nancy Cabrera, who said Warren had just passed away in an accident. Warren was at a friend's house about 15 minutes away from home when my grandmother called Warren, asking him to come home before it got dark outside. About 20 minutes later, Warren's location showed he was in the same spot, and that's when my grandparents were worried and went to check on him. When they arrived at the scene, 60th Street was completely blocked off at both ends by police. Shortly after arriving at the scene, my grandparents were informed that 16-year-old Warren passed away in the ambulance on his way to the hospital.

Our family lost someone extremely important to us that night, and our hearts are heavy as we try to get over this tragedy. I am asking for your help to cover any financial issues related to this heartbreaking situation. Anything helps, thank you.
