Support the Whatley Family

On August 17, 45-year old Wes Whatley collapsed and passed away suddenly at home, next to his wife Catherine, from a pulmonary embolism.

Wes was a magnet. He brought people to him, loved his people well, opened his home to any and all, and was generally surprised to hear someone knock on the door instead of just coming in. The best daddy in the world leaves behind four children, Eli (15), Lori (13), Liam (10) and Lottie (10). If you were in Wes’s life for a season, you were in it for life. It has been so encouraging to Cat and the family to have so much support at this time.

Wes was also a very good provider for his family, and the sole provider. Cat and the kids will spend the next few months navigating this transition and right now there are more questions than answers. Please consider being a part of helping Cat and the kids out during this time. She will be learning how to work the DVD player, grill chicken, give the second-best piggy back rides ever, and pay the bills for her family.
