In Memory of William H. Irby Jr.
Donation protected
With heaviness in our hearts, we mourn the loss of a wonderful person: father, husband, son, brother, uncle, friend, veteran. His loving wife Angela, and their amazing kids, Tay, and twins Kadence and Kaviyah, are devastated. Losing William Irby, or “Irb,” as he was known to many, has sent ripples of pain and loss far and wide. Irb was a lot of things to a lot of people; but most of all, he was one of the best human beings we’ve ever known. Never without a kind word, a warm smile, and a good-natured joke, Irb touched the lives of everyone he met. His unwavering support and positive attitude brought joy to family, friends, and strangers. Irb’s infectious smile and inviting personality drew you to him, but it was his loving heart and kind soul that kept you there.
William honorably served his country in the United States Air Force until a heart condition forced him to hang up his uniform to fight a different battle. He fought to stay alive for his family and friends, and through it all nothing could dim his light or his belief that he would get a heart. He was right; in 2016 he had a heart transplant! It took a lot of hard work, grit, and determination, but he recovered and returned to a full and active life. His family and friends were glad to have him healthy again.
Unfortunately, Irb contracted Covid in November. After several brutal weeks valiantly battling the virus, he passed away Friday, December 17, 2021. He was surrounded by family and friends. The loss of such an amazing person has been an excruciating blow to everyone who knew him.
As we begin to make our way through the grief and loss, we ask for your kind support to help his family with expenses by donating what you are able, as well as sending your loving thoughts and prayers during this difficult time. We know that he will always be with us. His undying love for his family and friends will live on and continue to inspire the same compassionate, courageous, and uplifting spirit he carried throughout his life. Any donation will be greatly appreciated.
