I am reaching out to you today with a heavy heart and a plea for help. My beloved wife, Yuumi Arimoto, On May this year, faced a critical medical emergency while we were on a trip to Hawaii. Yuumi suffered a severe cerebral hemorrhage and, despite receiving immediate and intensive medical treatment, she tragically passed away.

On 3 May 2024, while on holiday on the island of Hawaii, Yuumi suddenly became critically ill, lost consciousness and was rushed to North Hawaii Community Hospital. The condition was found to be too serious to be treated at this hospital and Yuumi was urgently transported to Queen's Medical Centre on Oahu. After transport to Queen's Medical Centre, Yuumi underwent emergency surgery to remove the haemorrhage that had accumulated in her brain. She was then admitted to the ICU and received extensive treatment by specialists in brain disorders over the next five days, but the treatment was not worth it and she died in hospital on 8 May 2024.

The cost of Yuumi's medical treatment, emergency air transport, and hospitalization has amounted to over $133,600. Despite our travel insurance coverage, we faced with an overwhelming out-of-pocket expense of $103,600. Our burden was greater than we could have imagined, due in part to the strong dollar and weak yen.

Your generosity and support would be greatly appreciated. We are asking for your help to cover this unexpectedly large cost. Any amount would be a tremendous help and is sincerely appreciated. Your support is important not only to ease the financial burden on our family, but also to ensure that Yuumi's memory is properly honoured.
