In Mike's Honor: Support Fund for Shelley Telfer

We are writing to you today with heavy hearts following the passing of our beloved Mike on June 23, 2023. Mike was a vibrant personality, a loving husband, a devoted father, a cherished grandfather, and a treasured friend. His love for life, family, and friends, coupled with his enduring passion for science fiction and his iconic Hawaiian shirts, will forever echo in our hearts.

As we grapple with this immense loss, we aim to honor Mike's spirit in a special way. Instead of traditional gestures like flowers, we have set up this GoFundMe campaign. The funds raised will assist in covering the medical expenses, funeral costs, and to support Mike's wife, Shelley, in transitioning into her new life chapter.

Shelley will be relocating in July, dividing her time between Pendleton, Oregon with Jennifer and Donny, and Beaverton, Oregon with Mike and Sarah. To make this transition smoother and provide Shelley with a dedicated personal space, a substantial portion of the funds will be used to build a 'mother-in-law' space at Jennifer and Donny's home. This life change, coupled with the sudden loss of Mike, brings both emotional and financial challenges. Your contributions will provide Shelley with much-needed support, giving her the peace of mind to grieve and rebuild without immediate financial stress.

Additionally, we extend an invitation to Mike's memorial service, to be held at Gateway Presbyterian Church, The Dalles, on July 7, 2023, at 2 PM. In honor of Mike's spirited nature, we encourage attendees to wear Hawaiian shirts or dresses, reflecting Mike's bright and cheerful style.
