In precious memory of Rylo Yancy
Donation protected
On May 8, 2021, the heavens opened and God blessed Daysia and Cobi with their first child, a son that they named Rylo Yancy. Tragically, just 3 years later, Rylo’s life was cut short by senseless gun violence on July 21, 2024, while playing on a playground at a kid's birthday party in Fort Lauderdale.
Rylo was a joyful toddler who loved Spiderman, his parents, grandmothers, grandfather, aunties, uncles, and cousins passionately. Every Sunday, he served as a little usher alongside his grandmother, who he was attached at the hip with. His immediate family members are shattered and will never be the same.
No family should endure such a devastating loss and we hope to ease their burden in any way possible.
Rylo was everything to his mom, dad, and immediate family members. He was born into a very close-knit family that loved him so much and the ground he walked on. The pain they are feeling is indescribable.
Your generous donations will help support the family as they cope with this immense grief and loss and begin to adjust to life without their beloved Rylo. Every contribution, no matter the size, will make a difference and honor the memory of Rylo.
We continue to ask for the local community support by holding those responsible accountable for their actions. If you know something, say something. You can remain anonymous.
Please share this campaign with your friends, family, and community.
At a later time, the family will organize a memorial in honor of Rylo Yancy.
This GoFundMe is being organized by Damia Gilner (relative to Daysia). Marcia Johnson, Rylo's great grandmother and caretaker, has been added as the beneficiary and will be handling the funds.
