In Remembrance of Daniel Marrufo
Donation protected
Sunday January 31, 2021 our evening was interrupted by the flashing lights and rhythmic sirens of the paramedics and police arriving on the scene, Daniel Marrufo's time on earth had come to an end.
Daniel was complaining of shortness of breath and as he was buckling up in the car, getting ready to go to the Emergency Room, he took his last breath. Quickly his daughter Linda and grand daughter Ariona pulled him out of the car. Ariona performed CPR until the paramedics arrived on the scene. After an additional 25 minutes of CPR were performed by the paramedics, they deemed him unresponsive and pronounced him dead due to congestive heart failure. Daniel Marrufo was 93 years old.
Daniel was a God fearing man who spent his life ministering to all those around him and he never missed a church service. He was a husband, a father, a grandfather and even a great grandfather. Once a coal miner, and a construction worker, he left his mark in Southern California by being a large part of the
development towards Downtown Riverside. After he retired he spent his days exercising regularly and caring for a beautiful garden. For those who knew him you probably seen him walking throughout the Riverside and Jurupa Valley area in his signature brimmed hat.
Heartbreak has surrounded Daniel and his family this year, just a few weeks ago Daniel lost one of his children, Gloria Marrufo.
On February 25th, both will be laid to rest next to his wife and Gloria's mother Vera Marrufo. Daniel was a loving man, and he had prepaid for his funeral so that his family would not be burdened. As he did an amazing job, there are additional expenses that were not accounted for in the arrangements he made.
Thank you all for allowing our family to share this story. Any amount would be greatly appreciated, and if you are not in a situation to give just sharing this would mean so much to all of us.
