In remembrance of Harry Bohannon...
Donation protected
My dad Harry passed away two weeks ago. This has been very rough, to say the least. We are getting everything in order and now trying to help alleviate some of the financial stress that comes with final expenses, as Harry didn't have much to his name. If you knew Harry, he was always finding ways to get by with what he had. He was more of the take what you need and give what you can, person. If you have the means to donate any amount, it would be greatly appreciated.
.
Harry was the type of man that would give you his shirt off his back even if it was his last shirt. He was the type of man that would stay calm in the midst of chaos and make sure you were safe and get things under control. He was the type of man that would set your ass straight if you got out of line. Harry Bohannon was the type of man that many of us strive to be. He led by example and his actions definitely spoke louder than words.
.
I was lucky enough to call this man my father. He came into my life when I was 5 and the rest was history. The memories that we made will never be forgotten.
.
Three years ago I hopped on a plane back to Illinois to what I thought was my final goodbye. The doctors showed me the scans and said he only had a couple months left at most. He was placed in hospice care and this is where the real Harry shined through. After about two days in hospice care he informed them, that they weren’t keeping him and he checked himself out and didn’t look back.
.
In typical Harry fashion, he was able to find a plot of land down by the river with about 5 acres, a horse and a cat. This was his little slice of paradise. He made it his own. He made it his home.
.
I am so grateful that Kipton and I were able to visit him this last fall. We helped him to build a structure over his trailer to keep the snow off it during the cold winter months. He was happier than ever that he was able to get to know his grandson. I was happier than ever to spend more time with my old man.
.
Thank you Harry for everything you taught me growing up and still teaching me today. You had an amazing soul and anyone who came around you felt your presence. I love you with all my heart and I know you are with my Mom raising hell like the good ole days.

There will be a celebration of life sometime this summer in his hometown of Streator, IL. Date still to be determined. Thank you for taking time out of your day and your donations are truly appreciated.
Sincerely,
Justin Bohannon
