In support of Rob and Sheri Hebert

Hi there, I’m Nicholas, and I’m starting this GoFundMe to help my mom. On December 11th my father, Rob Hebert, was taken away from us unexpectedly. He was the definition of a firm but loving father. I don’t think I really appreciated how much I learned about being strong from him. The dozens if not hundreds of times he’d scold me for doing the exact same thing he had already told me not to come to mind. How to push through when life continues to kick you down over and over. He was far from perfect, but he was my dad, and I loved him regardless. To say his sudden passing has left my family heartbroken is an understatement.

This tragedy has been a chaotic and painful transition for my mom in particular. Not only has she lost her life partner, but the finances of bills, cost of living, and car troubles are something she simply wasn’t prepared to deal with alone. Despite these struggles and her preexisting health conditions, she would never ask for help herself. Instead, she spent most of the first day worried about those of us who were there for her getting in trouble for being away from work. I want to offer my mom the space to grieve and she has the support she needs to focus on healing without the added stress of a financial firestorm.

Any donation—no matter how big or small—will make a meaningful difference. Your kindness will help alleviate some of the immediate pressures and allow my mom to begin the process of rebuilding her life after this unimaginable loss.

Thank you truly for any support offered during this incredibly challenging time. My parents were a pair of stubborn, do it themselves types, they’d offer to help others but wave off support for themselves. Hopefully we can extend back the love and support they’ve tried to extend out over the years. All donations will be going directly to my mother’s bank account. I don’t expect to meet the goal here, I kinda just picked a number just so I could get this out there, because I just want my mom to be okay.
