Help Support Sean Jamieson as he recovers!

Not the vacation we hoped for!

On our first full day of holidays in Kelowna, Sean had a snowboarding accident at Big White Ski Resort.  He was in agonizing pain, could hardly move, and could barely breathe. He felt a whoosh of fluids in his chest, which caused some panic. Ski patrol arrived, did their assessment, brought him down the mountain in a stretcher, into an ambulance, then decided it was best to air lift him by helicopter to Kelowna General hospital.

He started off in the Trauma ward in emergency, then was eventually moved to a room. With the help of CT scans, ECG’s, Xrays, etc...we found out that he fractured 4 ribs, 2 tranverse process bones, obtained a pneumothorax (collapsed lung), and a mild concussion.

During this process he was in agonizing pain, had trouble breathing, had his blood vessel blown out, adverse reactions to the medications, an epidural procedure, a chest tube inserted, tests/scans, and was being poked and prodded with needles and tubes. Yet, he still was so kind and genuine with everyone he crossed paths with.

We were supposed to fly home on Saturday, but he was still in the hospital, and the  Doctors ordered that he shouldn’t travel by plane, as the air pressure could cause his lung to collapse again. We contacted Flair, and even with the medial note, they refused to refund his ticket, or even give a credit. He was released from the hospital on Saturday, and still in a lot of pain, where travelling by car wouldn’t be possible. The best option to get him home is by train (so he can move around/ lie down), but unfortunately, the ticket is $860. He has his 9 year old daughter to make it back home to.

For any of you who knows Sean, you know what an amazing man he is. For any of those who don’t, this man is a wonderful father, friend, boyfriend, son, etc..., who has a heart of gold. With him recently losing his mother to Cancer in January, and now with this terrible accident, I want to try and help in any way I can.

The best way I can help, is by asking for YOUR help!  This is to recoup the cost of the helicopter ambulance, flight, train ticket, and help alleviate some financial stress from being unable to work (due to his injuries).

Any amount would be so appreciated. If you can’t contribute financially, sharing this page would be a huge help! Although Sean would never even think to ask anyone for help, I know your kindness would mean the world to him. Thank you, from the bottom of my heart!
