Amy Lee Bennett was a beautiful, fierce, funny, kind, kick-ass lady. She was a devoted mother, wife, daughter, sister, friend, care-giver... and so, so much more.
On Friday, March 29th, two days after suffering a sudden massive aneurysm, Amy tragically passed away at 43 years old.
In the days and hours following her collapse, the hospital was full of people who loved her. Her room, the hallways, the waiting areas; all were over-flowing with stunned friends and family. The hospital staff had never seen anything like it. But that's just the kind of person Amy was, that's the kind of impact she had.
Amy's loss leaves a huge hole in the lives of those she's left behind, but none greater than in the lives of her husband Mike "Giggy" Giguere and her daughters Justine and Haley.
Amy was the matriarch, the care-taker, the driving force. She put so much effort into her beautiful garden and her home was always open and welcoming to guests. Mike and Amy were both extremely proud of being hard-working, blue collar parents.
Mike and the girls are so blessed to have the support of wonderful friends and family. But now is a time for them to learn how to come together in this new family configuration and focus on their grieving and healing without additional stresses. Especially without the overwhelming burden of figuring out how to go from a two income family to a one income family.
Please, please donate to help Mike and the girls keep their family afloat during this trying time. Any amount will be greatly appreciated. The money will be used to help pay the mortgage and other household expenses. I know we can't ease the pain of this terrible loss, but we can ease some of their burden!
Thank you so much.
