In Memory of Shannon Kirkendall

Donation protected
It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Shannon (Todd) Kirkendall. She went to be with the Lord on December 4, 2024, in The Woodlands, Texas, after a courageous battle with cancer.

Shannon is survived by her beloved husband, Keith Kirkendall, and their two children, daughter Katelyn Kirkendall and son Ryan Kirkendall. She is also survived by her parents, Mary Beth Todd and Gary Todd, her brother Brandon and grandmothers Josephine Todd and Alyce Hammond. In addition, Shannon leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews who cherished her dearly.

Shannon graduated from Argonaut High School in 1996, where she excelled in both academics and sports, particularly basketball and softball. She went on to earn a Bachelors degree in Liberal Studies and completed the teaching credential program at
California State University of Sacramento. She moved with her husband Keith to The Woodlands, Texas in 2004 and raised a family in the Houston suburb.

Shannon's passions were her family, being an enthusiastic "dance mom" and "scout mom", as well as caring for her cherished pets. She was dedicated to teaching at the pre-school and elementary school levels, where her warmth and enthusiasm touched the lives of many young students.

Shannon's legacy of love, dedication, and resilience will be remembered by all who knew her. Her spirit will live on in the hearts of her family, friends, and the countless individuals whose lives she impacted.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made in Shannon's memory to the Mother's Day Out program at Grace Presbyterian Church. The fund will be collected on GoFundMe and donated to the Mother's Day Out program after the first of the year. Some of Shannon's closest friends were made in a similar program when her children were young, and she cherished her years working in the program at Grace.
