In the spirit of giving.....why not give a kidney?

My name is Scott Neal, a 53 year young Mount Forest Ontario resident and soon to be a living kidney donor. I am donating a kidney on January 23rd 2025 to change a life for the better. But I can't do that without a little help from my friends. A close family friend and I are a perfect match for a successful kidney transplant. However, finances for myself during recovery will be extremely dire. This is where you come in. I am humbly asking for monetary donations at this time and through the next 2 months in order to afford to recover successfully. My goal is to relieve the financial stress that I would be facing during my recovery. Funds will be used to offset the reduction in income that I would be facing. Paying for rent, utilities, insurance, food and incidentals. I lose 45% of my income on top of sacrificing a kidney. I know that times are tough. Post holiday season spending is low and budgets tight. But is the season of giving over? Maybe a tax write off? Who knows why you would assist in this quest? I just know that I can count on the giving nature that my community of Mount Forest and surrounding areas are known for. And that belief will be a great assist in my recovery.
