In wake of tragic deaths

This is a story from Toby's friend who was close and cared for her greatly!

Hi, my name is LaShawn Black. I would say that I’m one of Toby's best friends.

Her and I had known one another since the mid 90’s from the Betsy Ross gang. Toby and I had always been close, even when miles separated us.

Those who knew Toby knew that she had a love for her family and her momma was her biggest fan. Through the years Toby and I had remained friends but recently reconnected in person and I had the privilege of spending nearly every day for a couple weeks with her. During my visits with Toby it became apparent that her mental and physical health had declined tremendously. I had continued to come by each day to motivate her and to hopefully help her implement healthy routines and habits. Toby was suffering from major depression and as much as I tried it was seemly a futile effort to bring her back to the light. I left her side Friday, December 23rd around 2:00 pm. We communicated through texts until we’ll after midnight. Her last message to me on fb was a meme thanking me for being her light. I shed a tear and felt hopeful that that was a turning point in her mind frame turning hopeful.

Saturday and Sunday I repeatedly attempted to call and text her rendering no response. I became increasingly worried as the clock passed another minute. And my heart and mind consumed with fear. I had FTW police department do a welfare check Sunday, but they reported all appeared well. I was not convinced that everything was even remote Ok. Monday after Christmas festivities I once again went over and called for a well fare check. To shorten the lengthy story after I insisted the police do a more thorough look at the home they found reason to break entry and both Toby and her husband were found deceased. Toby is survived by her mother Jimmie, 2 brothers William, Charlie, sister-in-law Chelsa, 2 children’s Kassidy and Dustin, along with many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Here’s where the situation becomes increasingly complex. Toby’s mother is in the hospital trying to gain her strength back so they can transfer her mom (Jimmie Bloss) Utah where Charlie (her son) and daughter in law Chelsa reside. Costs of their trip home are going to be more than usual taking momma with them who is at this moment completely bed ridden. She will at past make a few hundred miles at a time before her pain levels become intolerable. Unfortunately this is the only option to take her to Utah. and after cremation costs and other bills. funds are drying up quite quickly. Frankly we need a miracle to pull this all off. Please if you feel led to donate please do. Anything will help!

Miracles are needed to come together in the wake of the horrific tragedy. I know I have amazing friends with generous hearts and we are dependent on that generosity to make this happen.
