In Your Hands Charity

Pauline Sanderson and Jo Pawley have been good friends for over 40 years. In September 2015 they set up the charity 'In Your Hands' to help raise funds for the people of Nepal after the devastating earthquakes in April and May of that year.

Thanks to long and trusted friendships in Nepal, they were able to establish the greatest need was for rural schools to be rebuilt. It became apparent that teacher training should be part of that strategy and we have continued to support 5 school communities. We work in partnership with Fist Steps Himalaya who provide fantastic residential training. Education is fundamental to the positive future of these communities and we are glad to play a part in supporting it.

This is the eighth year of a strategy that hopes to be able to leave the communities we support in a better and more self sufficient state than before the earthquake.
