To Raise Global Awareness on Diabetic Foot Disease
Donation protected
Prof Venu Kavarthapu, a senior Orthopaedic surgeon from King’s College Hospital in London and the lead Reconstructive Surgeon at the world-renowned King’s Diabetic Foot Unit (Mike Edmonds Foot Unit), is well known for using his good pair of hands to deliver better clinical outcomes through innovation, research and leadership in diabetic foot surgery. With encouragement from Prof Michael Edmonds and Miss Maureen Bates, of Mike Edmonds Foot Unit, he has packed his trekking boots to use his feet for a good cause- To Increase the Awareness of Diabetic Foot Disease globally and raise funds for King’s Diabetic Foot Charity. He will spend 11 days from 17th October trekking to and back from Mount Everest Base Camp.
The King’s diabetic foot team has been recognised globally for contributing to several treatment methods, management protocols and scientific studies that helped save many diabetic feet globally. We hope that Prof Kavarthapu’s trekking, on behalf of our team, will continue to keep even more.
We are incredibly thankful for your generous contributions!
